WINTER SEASCAPE IN OILS
WINTER SEASCAPE IN OILS
Friday 24th January
Tutor: Shauna Redman-Fosker
10:00 - 16:00
Level: Intermediate
Have you ever stood by a dramatic winter sea, feeling the raw energy of crashing waves and turbulent skies and wanted to capture this experience on canvas? At our Winter Seascape Workshop you will have the opportunity to do just that. Painting a stormy spectacular seascape in oils is an amazing and rewarding journey where you can encapsulate the power of the ocean and be at one with nature. Through the use of brushstrokes, palette knives and texture of the paint you can recreate the movement and intensity of the waves and the ever-changing colours and hues of the water evolving from the dramatic winter light.
So dig out some of those amazing photos you took of your favourite winter seascape. Your unique composition will give you a chance to explore the intricate details of crashing waves, battered shorelines, dramatic rock formations and intense skies. There are no boundaries. You will immerse yourself in the power of the sea with a sense of the salty breeze on your face. Let your imagination run wild and capture the awe-inspiring majesty of a dramatic winter seascape.
We will explore oil painting technique, composition, proportion, perspective and most importantly light. If you are new to oil paint do not panic, I will be there to help. If you would prefer to use Acrylic paint that is also fine.
We look forward to welcoming you to this amazing Winter Seascape workshop.
