PRINTMAKING: INTRODUCTION TO DRYPOINT & TETRAPACK
PRINTMAKING: INTRODUCTION TO DRYPOINT & TETRAPACK
Thursday 16th January
Tutor: Zoë Duncan
SOLD OUT
10:00 - 16:00
Level: Beginner
The excitement of peeling back your paper to reveal your print, never fades! In this workshop we will be exploring two related forms of intaglio printmaking: drypoint and tetrapak! We will explore various ways to make marks, create texture and patterns, whilst also learning about tonal values in printmaking. We will start with creating a drypoint plate, carving designs in, and then learning how to ink it up and create a beautiful print. Then we will move onto using tetrapak to create diverse and richly tonal prints - a wonderful way to use materials we have around us everyday! You will have at least 2 different designs and prints to take home with you.
