We are pleased to bring back our popular drawing and painting course for improvers, led by our talented tutor Caroline Crawford.
All materials are supplied and fresh coffee, tea, and biscuits are provided.
Level 2 explained:
Students would aim to move onto an Improvers course once they feel more confident having covered the principles at Beginners level 1 over 1 – 4 terms (depending on the individual) They now have an understanding of art materials and how to use them. They will also now know colour theory, blending and application with more confidence, and have a good general ability to carry out projects with some of their own input and take a small amount of risk with their work. These students are able to approach this subject in more depth and detail, and work more independently at a comfortably faster pace.
This ten week course is from Tuesday 21st January until Tuesday 1st April, with a break for half term week commencing 17th February. Each class will run for three hours from 10:00 - 13:00 and each will be an inspiring session with expert tuition, aimed at those that have had some experience and are wishing to improve their drawing and painting skills. The course is full of hints and tips to bring out your inner artist, with lots of demonstrations and one to one tuition by your tutor in a beautiful studio setting. Through each project you will learn stage by stage how to build your painting and drawing skills, as the course is varied in subjects. You will work though a wide assortment of art materials, including watercolour, pencil drawing, pastels, acrylics, mixed media, and more. The class size is small, so that you benefit from all we have to offer.
Caroline is one of our regular tutors, she delivers a variety of drawing and painting projects with enthusiasm and a friendly approach. She says ‘Creating art is a way of finding yourself, whilst losing yourself at the same time’.
Please note that each term features different seasonal projects. There are no repeats from previous terms.
