A great course for beginners to discover the art of stained glass. Make a colourful and decorative panel which can be displayed in a window.

 There will be several prepared designs to choose from. In this engaging one-day workshop, you will learn how to cut glass, work with lead to assemble the pieces into a panel and then solder and cement the panel to finish. There will be easy-to-follow demonstrations of each technique and individual guidance throughout the day. The final cleaning stage is done at home the next day. 

 Please bring with you:

• A packed lunch

• Apron and rubber gloves for cementing

• Please do not wear open toe shoes/sandals

Please note:

• Costs for materials will be payable to the tutor at the end of the workshop. The cost for a panel approximately A4 in size is £28.00.

• The tutor can take cash or card payments.

Health & Safety

• This course involves the use of lead and is not suitable for pregnant women or nursing mothers.

• A selection of tea, freshly brewed coffee, biscuits and delicious cakes. If you have any specific dietary requirements or allergies, please feel free to bring along your own provisions/milk alternatives etc

Terms - Fee is payable on booking. If, having booked, you can no longer attend, we are unable to offer a refund or transfer you to another workshop. However, you may nominate someone else to attend the workshop or class in your place by notifying us using the contact page on the Micklems Farm website. We reserve the right to cancel a workshop up to 48 hours prior to the workshop date. We will only cancel due to insufficient places sold and you will be refunded the full amount paid.

Level: Beginners. Good manual dexterity is required.
