I take huge delight in helping potential artists progress in their creative ability. My classes usually start with some interesting, and any funny, facts about a chosen artist and their work. We then go on to how to create their own painting to take home, guided in how to construct it and any helpful tricks to use.
I studied art in Sussex where I was brought up and then moved to London where I painted murals, portraits, did printmaking and travelled when I could. I was using a lot of different techniques that has proved invaluable with teaching. Now I live with three noisy children, two scruffy ponies, a rescue dog and the cat surrounded by big open fields with the River Thames nearby.
My own work is inspired by nature and the animals in it, especially horses, watching them playing and then drawing, drawing, drawing. I like to capture an unusual pose or spark, trying to create something alive on paper. My work has been widely commissioned and exhibited in the UK and abroad.
