CAROLINE BUDDEN

Caroline Budden of Luna Moon Mosaic is a Mosaicist and a Mosaic Teacher from Brighton. She has a Fine Art Painting BA hons degree from Wimbledon College of Art and is a qualified Art teacher with many years experience. Caroline fell in love with the Art of Mosaic many years ago when she visited Gaudi’s Park Güell in Barcelona. 

Caroline’s unique style incorporates the use of recycled materials such as patterned vintage crockery, coloured tiles, beads and buttons. 
Caroline teaches the Direct Method of mosaic-making and she draws on methods such as Pique Assiette  (stolen plate) and Trancadís (broken tiles). She has taught all ages from primary school to pensioners and all abilities (including those with Special Needs) about all things mosaic for well over a decade. She has also lead many community workshops and collaborations with charity organisations. Caroline is a member of BAMM (British Association for Modern Mosaic).

Caroline believes in encouraging a playful creative environment that supports mindfulness when working (to get in a flow state) but is also friendly and supportive, sociable and fun!
